TYPE B-FOCuS WIRELESS 352+ )



(CyTA) a long-standing Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Cyprus has
been distributing various brands and models of ADSL modems over the
years to its clients for the provision of its services. It began from
the from Alcatel SpeedTouch Home in the early days of the Asymmetric
Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) service introduction, then CyTA switched
brands to ECI an Israeli communications company with the B-FOCuS
Multiport 342+ model and now with the B-FOCuS Wireless 352+ with the
introduction of the mi-vision service. (People have also reported
receiving a B-FOCuS Multiport 400PR which is an equivalent version of
B-FOCuS Multiport 342+)



This has been a revolutionary change as CyTA is now distributing a
router instead of a modem device to its home-user clientele.
Unfortunately thou, the router has been pre-configured as a bridge
which is basically the modem interface and the router support has been
disabled. Although the device has 4 ethernet ports supporting 4
computers, only 1 computer can have an internet connection at a time.



This manual has been prepared to give directions in configuring the
B-FOCuS router and take the full of the device functionality. It
describes the configuration procedures performed after installing the
B-FOCuS router. The procedures described apply equally to the B-FOCuS
Multiport 342+ and the B-FOCuS Wireless 352+ unless otherwise
indicated. This manual is intended for use by skilled technicians with
a solid understanding of Telecommunications.
